—STORY BEHIND THIS MOMENT—

I captured this moment on a mild september evening, shortly after the sun had disappeared behind the horizon line. I was walking up to Bray Head on Valentia Island. Once I arrived at the tower, a herd of curious sheep greated me. They just kept looking at me in aweeee. I grabbed quickly my camera, moved in slow motion to not frighten them, set up my tripod and captured it. It was the perfect composition, the most beautiful, sweet light and the grass was still lush from the passing summer.

Sheep are so deeply connected to the kerry landscape. Skellig Michael and Little Skellig in the background appear to be floating along the horizon line. The softness of the juicy green grass and a rough cliff created a wonderful contrast.

This moment represents a perfect evening on the Skellig Coast. If this photograph touches you and you decide to hang it on your wall, it will represent a peaceful gateway into the essence of the south west Kerry landscape in your home. Get it if it speaks to you. ******
